- Collaboration: We believe that the best results come from interdisciplinary teamwork and open dialogue. Collaboration is at the heart of our weekly meetings, project feedback sessions, and any consortium-led initiatives.
- Ethical Integrity: We are committed to conducting our research, development, and presentations with the highest ethical standards. This includes addressing the ethical implications of AI in art, such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and intellectual property rights.
- Community Impact: Beyond our consortium, we aim to make a positive impact on the broader community. Whether it's through educational outreach, public art installations, or ethical discourse, we seek to extend the benefits of our work to a wider audience.
History of AIACT
AIACT was founded with the vision of creating a vibrant and interdisciplinary community for artificial intelligence in Connecticut. While we are a startup organization, our inspiration draws from a rich history of technology and art converging to create transformative experiences. Notably, we are influenced by the World Wide Web Artists Consortium, which emerged in New York City’s Silicon Alley in 1994. This pioneering group served as a nexus for artists and technologists at the dawn of the internet era, fostering innovation and collaboration that pushed the boundaries of what was possible. In a similar vein, AIACT aims to be a modern-day hub where cutting-edge AI technologies meet diverse talents and perspectives, driving innovation and impact in the 21st century.
